Final Leaf

Final leaf flutters,
bidding farewell as it falls –
Deep sleep ’till Spring warmth.

  1. Thank you for following my words. Your words are those of a Nature Child and I’m the same. I was touched by your expression. Never hide yourself away again-

    • Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. I am most honoured and humbled to read that you were touched by my words of expression. You have truly lifted my heart.
Indeed your dear and wonderful words are an inspiration, and it is a priviledge and a pleasure to follow your blog, full of magical expressions of a “Nature Child” as you most aptly put it – Something to be treasured and cherished!

    • Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! I really appreciate it, and I am so glad that you like the feel of my Haiku. I took special care to include many elements of classical Japanese Haiku – Kiru, Kigo, Wabi and Sabii. Perhaps it was these elements that have given this Haiku it’s certain feel?

  2. Hi! I’m glad you visited and decided to follow my blog on: http://randalane.wordpress.com. “Randa Lane…” is primarily devoted to haiku, tanka, and other short verse forms. I’ve just begun to explore your writing and find it very impressive, especially “Solstice” and “Final Leaf.” Based on those two exceptional haiku, I am now a follower! I invite you to read the eight-part series “Introduction to Haiku” to polish your considerable talent and skills. I think you’ll find there much of value to the haiku poet. Come, learn, have fun! Links to the series are found here:

    Best Success,
